Hello all
I am going to build a 2x6 c&c cage - how many grids do i need is it 28? My maths is shocking! Also, how big a piece of coroplast do I need? Thanks. Would love to see pics of yours :)

16 grids

It’s 12 down each long side and then four for each of the ends.

a 2x6 will be roughly 210-215cm long by 77cm wide but it will be dependent upon your grid size

Thank you. So how many individual squares is that then?

Number of grids is mentioned above.
the best thing to do is to measure the inside once you’ve build the grids up. Then you can cut the coroplast to fit. As said it would be between 2100-215cm long and up to 77cm wide. It will depend on if you have gaps between the grids once set up.

Make sure you use grids with 9 holes and not 8.

What do you mean individual squares? Do you mean grids?
Sorry I was getting confused. I

Thanks very much!

It's useful to have more than just the number of grids that you need for the sides. I put a base of grids on my cage as it was on a slightly smaller table. I also put some at the top corners to improve the rigidity of the sides, and to drape a towel for shade over. Spares are useful also in case you have to divide the cage temporarily to make a hospital cage or after a fall out.
Correx comes in sheets 244x122cm max. One sheet would be enough to have a small (10cm) side at each narrow end, and a deeper (approx 20cm) side on the long edges.
