Bubbles and Basil

Here's the first photo of our new boys, Basil is the black / brown one on the left, and Bubbles is the one with white patches on the right. They're just a couple of days into their new home and are making their first explorations around.
Bubbles is quite confident, while Basil is that bit more timid and is happier peeping out of a tunnel or doorway for now.

Thank you for the welcome, we've been long time readers!

Not the best picture to start with I know, but new pigs are of course a bit camera / everything shy. Hopefully better ones to come in the months ahead as they get used to us.

It's now day 5 in their new home for these two boys and they've been surprisingly quick to come out of their shell, no doubt helped with occasional parsley and coriander bribes. They're quite calmly tolerating (enjoying even) a 5 minute sit outside the cage having their ears tickled.
We also managed to weigh them for the first time.

We had them out for quite a bit longer than usual for lap time and they seemed to enjoy it. They soon let us know when they'd had enough though.

Lap time now means, sitting on the arm of the sofa time, to Bubbles. ☺ Bubbles is starting to look chonky and I'm interested for their 4th weigh in tomorrow.

Basil fell properly asleep while out of the cage earlier. Very cute to see eyes closed sleep.
