Broody Sows?

Every so often my female guinea pigs tend to pull hay out of their hay rack and start making a little bed and just sit there. They start to smell a bit more(wee odour) and feel sensitive on their bellies. Some how I think they feel they're pregnant and getting ready for young but they're not pregnant at all? One of my sows had two babies last year but that's about it. They get a bit grumpy sometimes too, but this only lasts for two or three days. Could this be sortve like a menstrual thing?

Sounds like they're in heat. Happens about twice a month i think...
They can get grumpy with each other (just had this problem with one of my girls) and sometimes start humping each other. but its totally normal behaviour.
