Broken Snugglesafe Heat Pad?

Just wondering if any one has had the same issue as me...just picked up my heat pad and it sounded like there was something rattling around, I shook it and the inside has crumbled or something and you can hear the bits rattling around....haven't tried to see if it still works yet just wondering if any one else haas experienced this?! Weird!
 
i would contact the manufacturer and explain what has happened ... they might be able to help and maybe send you a new one... x
 
I have no idea as don't have one, but if in doubt I'd not use it, better to be safe :-)
 
i have to admit i am a bit of a complainer when things break etc......
 
When I bought mine it came with something saying after so many heat ups and cool downs, the internal structure can break down and should no longer be used. If you've had it a couple of years maybe it's something like that?
 
Ah yeah it might be that then as I have had it about 4 years...but saying that I only used it for the first winter I got it, then my piggies have been indoor, I have only recently started using it again as it's getting colder and I now have a skinny pig...so really it hasn't heated up and cooled down that many times...Hmmm
I doubt they'd send me a new one one though as its so old :(

i would explain that you have only used it a few times, they won't know when you actually purchased it.... I bought a expensive suitcase from Cath Kidston and it was over a year old but i only used it twice and the handle broke.... they replaced it for me... Give it a try xx

Just thought I'd let you all know I emailed Snugglesafe and they said the gel sometimes hardens and then crumbles if knocked, it should go back to a gel once heated again and be fine....it's in the microwave as I write this....
....it WORKED! Yey :)
