Hello
Please can someone offer some help and advice ? My Guinea pig hutch has broken - it's a split level hutch and the trays that pull out have rusted and now I have holes in them. I can't afford a new hutch, any advice on what I cld repair them with wld be great. I've currently got plyboard down.

Maybe just leave solid ply board floors rather than removable trays.
But you all need to be realistic - Winter is coming and if the hutch isn't in great condition then it could be time replace it.
Or move the piggies indoors?

Does the current hutch have proper covers and insulation or is it in a shed or shelter?
If so then it's probably not an issue, but if the original floors have rusted through it will be draughty and not suitable for another long Winter out in the elements.

Time to spend some money I’m afraid, Swissgreys is right about needing a quick, permanent fix. Our winters seem to be getting colder, personally i’d move them inside. You would never forgive yourself if they died of the cold, or Mr Fox comes calling. Best of luck!
