As we only had one ferplast 120 cage initially our plan was to insulate the hutch with a made-to-measure hutch cover and snuggle so it was nice and cosy. However that plan fell through when we didn't get a response from the person who made them and sells them, so now we have bought a new ferplast 120 and the girls are going to live in my room over winter.
At the moment all 4 live together quite happily, but obviously over winter we will have to split them into 2 separate cages (They get a bit noughty with each other in a single 120, when brought in for the 30 mins it takes for bathtime)
What is the best thing to do, the girls are all bonded but not close and there is only one pair that I wouldn't leave together as they bicker.
Now do I just pop them in the two separate cages next to each other so they can still see each other? or can I stack ferplasts on top of one another? or is there anyway of joining the two cages into one big cage so they are still together?
Also will I need to reintroduce them to each other every few days so they don't forget each other?
Obviously it is not an ideal situation but indoors is what is best, just after a little advice about what is best to do.
Thanks
Kayleigh
