Hey, I have two girls that live outside. Where I live, the average temperature all day is about 40-50 degrees. When I get home from school, I’d like to set up their play pen in my room so they can hang out with me while I do homework, but I’m scared that the temperature change will make them sick. Is it okay if I bring them in for a bit while I do homework and put them back outside (they have a pet safe heater in their hutch)? Or will they get sick?

Guinea pigs are fragile and very sensitive to sudden temperature changes meaning switching them from colder temperatures to a heated room for a couple of hours and then back out could make them more susceptible to illnesses. I really wouldn't risk it as it won't be good for them.

Perhaps get your homework done and go outside to spend time with them.
