i have 1 boar and 2 pregnant sows together and are due to give birth but the two sows seem to be losing hair because of mites and the mite treatment said nothing about pregnant guinea pigs so i treated them. can this effect there birth to the young or the sows?

This forum does not support intentional breeding.

If your boar is not neutered remove him from the girls. Once the girls give birth he will impregnate them again. There are so many guinea pigs in rescues across the country that breeding is totally unnecessary

The best thing to do would be to take the girls to a vet to get them checked out as home remedies are not always strong enough especially in the case of mange mites.

Mite treatment should not be given to pregnant piggies, please ring your exotics vet for advice (dont just take them in, the trip can stress pregnant piggies out.)

Please dont breed, and as said above discussion of it is not aloud on this forum.
