I am verrrrry pleased with Bigbum my boar... Yesterday he was sat in the cage eating spinach and i stroked his nose and forhead with my little finger and he just sat there... No running off...:)

Whilst he is fine being cuddled (as long as he has a bribe rolleyes) the group are not piggies you can stroke whilst they are not being held...
I wouldnt even be able to do it with mum and Squeaky is just too lively but my little man is becoming a very sweet piggy...

Its only taken 6 months!

Just keep doing that and he will learn to love it. Then gently get his confidence by stroking other parts of him.

But even when you think you have "cracked it" and try to pick him up, be ready that he might run a mile! :{rolleyes:))

Aww bless him.
It takes time for piggies to trust us bless them but sounds like you getting there.
Well done Jane :)

Dont worry the other 2 are a lost cause so i am adept at catching the slippery little ...:))

I can pick up my piggy fine after 3 weeks he sits still and as long as you do it with in a minute he is ok. he will let you stroke him in his cage for about 5 strokes then darts. he would never come to me I have to go to him, do i need to keep picking him up or stop and try and make him come to me? I want to get to the point where he comes out to meet me but at minute he runs away when I walk towards him!
