Basil is starting to get more aggressive with Elvis and it's past the just dominance stage. It was awful earlier, Basil was chasing Elvis and everything was flying in the cage. So they are going back to the rescue for a few days so the lady there can moniter their behaviour and she can see what's going on. Then we can decide what we're going to do. I'm going to miss my boys but one of them is going to be seriously hurt if I don't do something about it now :(

Sounds like they just need separating. It's hard keeping boars together as you have to get the age and temperaments perfect, otherwise you end up with a dominance battle on your hands. If you want to keep them then you're probably looking at separating them and finding them a girlfriend each for companionship.

Thats nice that the rescue is helping. Maybe if they come back together and would start being crazy again you can divide the cage in half temporarily so they can see each other but not hurt each other. I had to do that with my girls and after a few days of having them divided and letting them have monitored play time, they came around and have been the best of friends ever since.

They've gone back to the rescue so the lady there can watch their behaviour and see whether they will be able to stay together or not.
