I originally had 2, 8 week old brothers but after a horrendous ordeal we lost one, we went to the rescue after the vets recommended trying to find a new friend and he was matched to a 8 week old (original boy now 3/4 months) and have been together a year and always got on but recently the younger boy has been really dominant, chasing the original boy, mounting him and lots or growling/ squealing but the last few days he's almost been possessed over him and will not leave him alone, the original is only small and never even try's to argue back, I've separated them this morning to give him a rest and actually eat! But I don't know what to do? I thought it would pass and they've never drawn blood or anything but the little one is unhappy and jumps at the chance of being held away from him.

Any suggestions? I don't want to separate them permanently, would neutering be worth considering?

Neutering will not change boar behaviour or cover up character incompatibility; it only removes the ability to make babies. Your little one is still not completely out of the big teenage hormones, which can hit late, but hard in some cases.

Here are tips for re-intros. I hope that the little one has cooled down a bit. Permanent separation is only on the cards if there is a serious fight with bites or if your older boy is perking up markedly when separated, which would indicate that he is no longer happy in the relationship. Hopefully, your two boys can make through this difficult patch before both reach a more hormonally settled adulthood around 15 months of age. Make sure that they have got everything in twos and plenty of space to get away from each other.
