Hi all,
I'm new to the site and to guinea pig ownership. Basically what happened is I rescued a boar from a pet shop whose leg had been broken by a rabbit (long story). He is a baby (my vet thinks about 8 wks old) and is now using the leg again. The day after I rescued the injured pig I also got his brother who he lived with, as company, and the two seemed to get on fine.
However, this week the uninjured pig has started nipping the other pig on the nose, resulting in a scab. He doesn't do it constantly and the two sleep together and follow each other around. The uninjured pig is clearly more confident. They life in a hutch that has 8sq ft of floor space and have access to a 12 sq ft run during the day as well.
Can you please impart me with your wisdom? I never intended to get guinea pigs (hence I have two rabbits in a separate hutch / run) and would welcome any advice.
Thanks in advance...
