Gave the boys some veg in 1 bowl Rodney took some out and into his hide my other one didn’t get any from the bowl instead took Rodney’s veg. Do they need separate food bowls?

They don’t know that you want it to go between both of them. For that reason a lot of us do not use food bowls at all - veg and pellets are scattered around the cage and in amongst hay. That means that no one piggy can food hog but it also means they forage for it and feeding time becomes enrichment and entertainment.

If you do want to use bowls, then yes you will need two but they will still take food from each bowl
