Hello,

I have just spotted a problem with my 4 year old Shola’s back/bottom area. I don’t think it is her actual bum itself - it is like a bald mound/ sore with slight scaling around it above her bum. She is passing poop just fine and is eating as normal, acting the same too - still very affectionate.

Our girls have moved to living out the back in a raised sheltered area in the past 4 months as we have moved house and they cannot live indoors anymore due to space/rental agreement.

I don’t know if it is ringworm or something else, has anyone seen this before? The little hair in the sore/bald area but is is just hair I think (afraid to pull at it!). Apologies for the poop shots!

Thanks if anyone can help x

The best practice is to see a vet with any concern.
Only a vet can give a proper diagnosis and treatment if necessary.
At best you will be reassured if nothing is wrong.
Hope all is ok.
Please keep us posted.

It looks like an overactive, possibly infected grease gland to me, most commonly seen in males however females can get it too. I would take her to the vet for a proper diagnosis, if it's an infection she'll need medication from a vet, it looks very sore.
