probably being paranoid but are they ok on the inside? my cage is awkward for the bottles at the minute. the new cage will be better but until then.. maisie thinks it's fun to chew through the black material holders! mallethead

and my set up means they have to be on the inside at the minute. :)

I use a glass bottle from P@H (can buy for about £6 inc p&p on ebay) which is attached on inside of cage with metal.

It's large and heavy and fits perfectly as my pigs are in a huge rabbit cage and the base is too high for them to reach the bottle if it's attached on outside. This bottle enables me to control how low down it is and it's secure and indestructible :{. The metal attachments seem perfectly safe.

that's my problem, they are in the trixie 150 cage and the base sides are too high so the bottle spout isn't long enough if the bottle is on the outside. at the minute the bottles balance on the side edging and are held on by two black material holders, the ones you get with the snugglesafe bottle covers, well it's one now because maisie has chewed through the other! :))

i am building a c+c soon so won't be a problem then, but now, even with bottle springs, i wasn't sure if they will work because it would mean the bottle would be slanted and might not drip properly unless it's straight.

i'e ordered some bottle springs anyway so we'll see. and i better get on with building the new c+c..!
