hellos, so this is the first time I have asked a question on here.
Sue and Gerty we have noticed drinking for the first time and we are refilling their water bowl (we tried bottle with no success) twice a day. As I watched them today, in the space of 10-15 mins Gerty drank 2-3 times and Sue 1-2, which is surprising because they haven't been drinking at all much ever.
Some things have changed would the following affected them:
- new chew- rosewood dandelion sticks (around same time they started drinking more - so checked for salt)
-moved inside- Late October- early november time ( but drinking happened this week)- so they have less fresh grass, or we notice them more?
-eat more - especially dry food
somethings that havent changed
- dry food is the same - burgess exel
- amount of fresh veg
-water bowl
thank you for help,
sue and gertys family

Hi and welcome
If both piggies are suddenly drinking more (and just one or two drinks don't count), then the reason is likely external and not illness related. Before you start worrying about illness, aways consider any major weather or temperature changes in recent days; and also whether they have just eaten dry food.

We have had unusually cold weather in UK in the last few days which means increased heating, less fresh air allowed to come in and therefore drier indoors air as a result. .
