Born To Dig

This little lady is determined to dig. She has worked out another way of getting under the fleece so I am again having to be one step ahead. In the meantime she is punishing me by hiding in the hay, every now and again giving a shake to spread it over a bit more floor...

I can't help but laugh when piggies get all huffy!

Have you tried making her a fake fleece floor? Stretch some fleece across the cage (placed very low, only a couple inches above floor level), attached to the correx with binder clips. If there's somewhere she can burrow she might be less interested in the "real" fleece.

Post #3 on this forum thread also looks like an interesting way to discourage digging.

Oh yes, she often has a piece of fleece or a fleece bag to sit in. But no, not such fun.
