So now that the C&C is set up, my next project is to acquire/make 2-3 sets of toys and boredom breakers for my boars. The OH and I both work full-time so I worry about them getting bored! The idea is to rotate these sets through their cage every week or so, as I find just leaving them with the same few toys continuously results in....... ignored toys. (Although they have their forage mezzanine level now and LOVE digging through that for berries and bits of dried dandelion!)

Store-bought suggestions are welcome, but I've been looking and there are hundreds! It's hard to tell which toys pigs will actually like to play with and which will get ignored, so what have you bought that your pigs just love? Mine currently have a ball with a bell in, one of those loofah and nut shell chews, and of course the chewable tunnels.

I'd also love some creative home-made suggestions. I know boxes etc. are always a hit, and I also sometimes toss a plastic marg container or something in there as Machu loves headbutting stuff around the cage. Happy to do some not-to-involved sewing as well. :D

All our piggies have little teddies which they cuddle up to or nudge around but empty inner rolls from loo paper/kitchen paper are good stuffed with hay.
One of my favourites is one a member on here recommended, a small fleece blanket cut into strips (like a vertical blind effect) secured over the end of a tunnel/corner of a pen and provides them with lots of fun. Our lot love it :))
Bright coloured plastic balls (not wicker) also entertain them.

mine love tubes (inside of kitchen rolls work well) stuffed with herbs or sometimes I use a paper bag or envelope - keeps them occupied a while. They also have the 'critter bed' off amazon - it's a soft velour bed with an attached blanket. At first I just ordered one bed and Stanley took up residence there straight away (our dominant piggy!) They had great fun though nudging off the cover as it just seemed to form into a little hidey tunnel shape itself.

I felt so sorry for Benson not having a bed that I ordered another just the same - now neither of them go near the beds! Isn't that just typical?! Sorry I am not good at pasting up links but I think it is called hide and seek critter bed on amazon and you will see from the reviews that piggies love it - its cheap too at about 6 quid.
