I was at the monthly carboot and found a whole roll of wire fencing for £15 there's at least ten metre's on it bu 88cm high so i thought i would make my piggies a more secure (from cats) run.

I got wood from B&Q ordered some treated wood in but they wouldnt cut it but they reccomended some they would cut which was 4, 2.4m packs (i got two packs) for £5 which i had 6 cut in half the other 2 cut in to 40cm lengths and i can make 6 panels 1.2 m X50cms (ish)

my first

I also put screw in eyes and am using coach bolt's and wing nuts to join panels together so i can have them how i want ie 1 panel by 1 with a lid or 1 x2 without (i plan on getting more wood and making another 2/3 panels

the raw wire side will be on the outside of the run and tidied up a bit too

I have a c&c one but wanted something more rigid and better cat protected plus i can add to it when i want and its cost about £40 so far I'm uite pleased with it

yh thats the one i love it, its getting really big lately too, great news on your job i shop there, best supermarket ever

I am sure you already know this. But a fox( yes I know you said cats) will get though that wire without any problem. Just thought would mention.
Better to be safe than sorry and all that. Don't blame you for building a run. I always do. Can have lengths ECG that you want then.

thank's,my piggies live in doors and will only be in the run during the day when people are about, more often than not the lid will be off and it will be used as a bigger run also we don't get many cat's or any foxe's round here never mind in my garden lol i think id have kitten's if we did

Just a warning about that size mesh - a pig can get a head through that and get stuck trying to get out. It pains me to say I have seen this happen and watched a guinea pig die from a broken neck, it was literally heartbreaking.

Maybe you could put the c and c on the inside as extra protection?
