Hey all don't know if you remember me, but I had gotten myself two little baby guinea pigs(boars) from petsmart. (I named them Piggy Smalls and TuPig Shakur.)
Anywho, Piggy Smalls wound up having the start of URI and had to take antibiotics, and is now all better.
Here's my dilemma: Piggy Smalls although a little more used to being handled due to the meds and me having to give them to him(along with some veggies every time he came out and I handled him) still acts as though I'm out for blood when ever I pop over to their cage to feed them or take a picture. He also cried loudly when I reach for him, once he's against my chest though, he settles down and allows me to kiss him and pet him.
With TuPig he just absolutely fights me picking him up as much as he can (I usually pick him up when it's time for a cage cleaning and they need to go in their carriers.) he's getting somewhat better and eventually calms down but still freaks out when he sees me coming towards him.
What can I do to help them along with becoming members of the family and not so skittish? I know it takes time and it's only been a little more than two weeks, but any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.

herd them into a cosy or tunnel (make sure you block both ends once in )then let them come out on their own.Or herd them into the carrier. They will trust you eventually. Four of mine create holy hell and you would think i was killing them. They will take food out of my hand and run round me when i am in the cage but try to touch them and they are away. I have had mine about 8 months.
