I have given my two boys Murray who's now 17 months old and Jack 9months a new set up with space for them to run around. They seem to be bonding well I think, I have tried before but Murray was having none of it and as he had bitten my late piggy Andy I was a little aprehensive about it.
At first Murray was rumbling wiggling bottom and mounting Jack whenever he could, Jack was bieng submissive . Six days on, jacks doing the rumbling and mounting , Murray is just sort of ignoring him running to his own space and when necessary giving Jack a little shove.
They have their own cages which are left open but they seem to share one cage when they sleep not quite together but close to one another. Murray and Andy did get on well once but soon started fighting they were the same age tho. In anyone's opinion does the signs look good, I just don't want to drop my guard and have another battle scared piggy. Any help would be gratefully recieved x

It helps a lot! Teenage boars are the most difficult to bond.

All the best! Keep weighing Murray to make sure that the pestering is not infering with his health.

Hi Shirley, I would say the signs are looking very good and I like your approach as well. Wish l could say the same for a bonding session I'm doing at the moment,! I have to sow from hell, that hates every sow comes into her path

Murray is somewhat off a chubby piggy ! Can afford a little weight loss lol. He's still eating lots of veggies and hay but I will keep a check thanks xx

Murrays was a bad piggie, but now he's older he's a lot more calmer, I think you just have to stick with it. We woman are so temperamental ! Lol xx
