I'm very experienced with rabbits, and this trick works well for getting new friends accepted. It seems to have worked with the two sows, but then they are both babies still, three months old. Put them in the cage in a car and drive about. They will look for comfort as it is an unusual sensation. Our two were snuggling together in a small hut by the time our short trip was over, now they are cuddling and hiding together.

Wish I could offer more, but we are new with piggies.

They will still have to go through the dominance and the hierarchy sort-out afterwards. It doesn't necessarily work with older piggies!

If you do that with unbonded boys, you can end up with bloody mayhem.

Good to know, at least these were litter mates, same time different mothers. That likely helps as well.

Litter mates do not make a difference. It is down to personality. Often littermates cannot tolerate each other.

I have 2 very dominant piggies who live together peacefully enough in a c and c cage but who cannot ever go into the same pet carrier without there being a riot so they always travel separately!
