I'm now pretty certain my poor Kevin has gone blind or has lost a great amount of his site. I really want to get him a friend as he hasn't been the same since Richie died however I'm unsure if this would cause him great stress or not? He seems to be getting along well, he eats and drinks and will except a fuss as long as you make him aware of where your hand is. He does however seem to be extremely scatty and nervous of anything that he doesn't expect and I was wondering if getting him a buddy would worsen this as with the humping ect I think he may get agitated or terrified. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm stuck.mallethead

I think if done properly, having a friend would give him some comfort yes. If you can get the temperament of the new pig right then I don't see why not. I would try and get it done properly at a rescue tho in case Kevin is frightened.... Bless him!

I can't speak from the male perspective but my Rosie has cataracts on both eyes so her vision is relatively poor. We went to the potteries for sow dating and she was fine with meeting 3 new friends. I think it depends on the temperment of the piggies involved- but i'm sure that a rescue could help find a suitable match for Kevin x
