Across the Boarlin Wall, the factions watch.
Hi folks, I am trying to rationalise my herds following a tumultuous year for our peegs.
Background:
Last year we lost three of our boars: both of our boys from our mixed herds and one from a pair of boars.
On top of that and many other sicknesses, our 'top deck' herd fell out when top sow Rose was ill and became the subject of aggressive bullying.
As a result, she and her newish young husboar were separated off from the troublemakers. He made a valiant effort, but he's only little.
We now find the troublemakers have fallen out after the best part of a year. They need to be separated, but we are out of space.
Proposal:
I would like to try and bond my functional husboar/sow pair with the remaining 'downstairs' sows. They are blind/partially sighted and I think one is going a little deaf.
Is there anything I should consider with this combination?
