Since Beryn has made it very clear that she is not keen at all on the babies during some shared tester lap sessions, I have bonded the babies with gentle Briallen and her very happy 'husboar' Barri whose hormones have nicely settled down now.

The bonding has gone very smoothly. They are currently all settling into their shared pen and having a much needed nap.

I'm so glad they have other piggies to be with now and that it went smoothly too. Lovely to see them again, thanks Wiebke!

Because they are so young, I didn't want to wait for too long to bond them; they should make a great group! Barri is a very friendly piggy and Briallen is totally non-aggressive.

I love the tortie and white! That was my original plan.... till I met my girls!

Awww so lovely and the babies look so happy with their new friends.

She's the top of the group with Barri placed between her and the babies, so her position is not in question during the dominance phase. ;)
Briallen is very good with them shes gorgeous  the babies have so much energy. With her being easy going Wiebke how can you tell that when the babies are having face offs with her that things won’t turn or do you have to watch them a lot and then they will calm down. I’ve never seen bonding before, it’s very confusing how they accept some guineas and don’t others. Ruby and TItch used to do really loud teeth chattering at each other. I don’t think really that the pair would of chosen each other if they could. :D

I watch a lot. Briallen is giving nips, but they are comparatively gentle. And compared to how randy Barri was when he arrived aged 10 months and freshly neutered, he is a model of restraint with the baby girls! He's really settled down under Briallen's gentle, but firm guidance.

You are expert in this and patient, I would be a wreck fretting all the time listening to every noise and jumping up, I would probably stress them out myself :mal: I’ve watched it a few times find it very interesting.

it is always a bit nerve racking, especially when a bonding is going right up to the line. But I have now done well over half a hundred of them, so you get a feel for them because you are so much better at picking up on the subtle signs and dynamics. This was one of the easiest ones.
