Wasn’t sure whether to post this in Health or Care.

Perry is six weeks post neuter today so we’re safe for bonding him with Lily.

But.. Lily is supposed to be spending the day at the vets next week. She’s not ill, just having routine checks.

They are very attached through the divide. Perry practically lives next to the divide to be close to Lily and he doesn’t like when she goes for a sleep further away. He whines for her. When Lily goes to the vets she’ll be gone from 7.30am until approx 5.30pm. I think Perry will be upset by that. I think Lily will be a little too but she’s a tough nut so will cope.

If we bond them and then take both to the vets, that seems very soon into a new bond.

Are we being too soft and Perry would cope fine without her for the day?

What would you do?

It’s one of those things that is half a dozen of one and six of another!

I feel that If you cannot take them both to the vet for the day, then bonding them and then having to separate them for the day so soon into the bonding process would be a stress. It takes two weeks of living together after bonding day for them to fully establish their relationship

If you can take them both to the vet for the day then I would bond them and just send them both. At least they would have each other
