Gutted Stew has taken a dislike to his potential friend . Even showing agression when seperated.
Rescue lady wants him to have a friend so contacting other potential possibilities but i'm beginning to feel this isn't going to happen. What do i do now ?
Terrible owner if I keep him on his own and I admit he appears very miserable and lonely.
Risk neutering he is nearly 4 years old.
Or continue with the search putting him and me through this.
So disapointed need advice

Aww what a shame things did not work out. I would try another boar. It can take time to find the right match. You have nothing to lose.

I am very sorry - some boars are rather more difficult to bond! On average it takes 2 boars to hit mister right, but it can take up to 6 boars with others!

Even if boar dating is not working (and there are some piggies that are very difficult to impossible to match), you still have got more options which may not be as ideal, but they are worth pursuing if the boar dating is not working out:

You could consider rehoming another difficult boar or a another pair of younger piggies (any gender) to live next door. Just having the regular stimulation of interaction through the bars can make all the difference!

Spayed sows are very rare, but perhaps a rescue is willing to have one operated by a good vet if you pay for the op? Sadly, the only rescue that had a sow spaying policy has closed down at the beginning of the year. :(
