I am in the middle of a bonding and things seem to go well.I have been bonding for about an hour now.when kinder(my baby piggy) gets too close to kai (my 1 year old) she seems to nip at her.so far there is not much going on and they are both quiet. Is this normal?

Give them a bit more time (i.e. several hours but leave at least an hour to observe them in the cage before going to bed) to settle the roughest bit of the dominance and have a few naps together in the bonding pen.

I have found that it is better to leave any piggies in a bonding pen overnight if you are not one hundred percent sure rather than transferring them to the cage too early and risking an overreaction by your existing piggy when they feel invaded because they have not yet fully made up their mind.

Ok thank you I will try that.right now they are laying next to each other😊

How do I know when is the right time to put them in the same cage together?
