Hi, I'm trying to bond a 6 week old and a 12 month old, they have established dominance but the older one hasn't bothers with the baby. She is letting the baby eat and drink but isn't really regarding her I the cage. Does anyone have any ideas to help them bond more?

Just let them work it out in their own time. You can't force guinea pigs together; it is usually counterproductive and hinders rather than helps the bonding process.

I've been doing the usual outing piles of food and hat and they have been sharing a hay pile.

Sounds like a good situation to be honest. Unless the older strikes the baby randomly I'd not worry and let them be.

It sounds as though they are working it out. If there's no overt aggression, you can just let them do their thing. Pigs don't have to be joined at the hip to like another and be friends and benefit from the company of another pig. They will figure out their relationship with a bit of time.
