Hi everyone. I have 2 extremely bonded boys, they’ve lived happily together for 5 month now. We recently got another 2 boars (in separate cage but same room) and since then our original boys have started teeth chattering. I have moved the new boars to a different room. But am quite worried about the teeth chattering when they used to be very close. Any advice why this is happening?

How old are they?
If it’s a mild chattering then its not overly concerning.
I see they’ve been together for five months but if they are within their teens (between 4 and 14 months of age) then seeing an increase in dominance during this hormonal time is to be expected. Smelling the other boars in itself should not cause their bond to have issues.
I have multiple boars all in one shed (a bonded pair and then two singles (who used to be a bonded pair but their bond broke down) and they do sometimes chatter as a normal behaviour but not of concern
