Can anyone tell me if Male guinea pigs are affected by female rabbits being in heat. I'm only a new guinea pig owner. Got my first one at christmas... Lil Bob... Along with a rabbit(I know now not to keep them housed together. I felt that Lil Bob would benefit from having some piggie friends so almost a month ago, i got two little boys. They were all getting on really well until today... They are all grinding theire teeth at each other. And there has been a few lumps of hair flying. Although I don't keep my rabbit with my pigs, is it possible that the reason they are being like this is because she is in heat. Would that change the behaviour of the piggies.
The piggies and the rabbit are free range whenever I'm in the house, when i'm not there, piggies go to their cage and bunny goes to hers...
Can anyone suggest why all of a sudden they would start to argue. Or is it that they are just sorting out pecking order...
Any advice is greatful...
