After and evening of chasing and mounting eachother I have noticed that both my boars have white splats on their backs. I can imagine what this is but shall spare you the details.

I bathed them to get the mess out but it is rock hard like glue and will not come off! What can I do, please advise and let me know if this is normal behaviour!

They were not snorting, or raising their back legs...just chasing eachother for like 3 hours!

Ahhhh - the dreaded 'boar glue' - naughty boys :))

Try dissolving a desert spoon of sugar in half a mug of boiling water, allow to cool slightly but it does still need to be quite warm and soak the 'glue' well for several minutes. This should soften it enough to allow you to remove it.

boar juice :(|)
....if that doesn't work, you'll have to cut it out i'm afraid, has happened to me many times. (not actually to ME btw, to the other boys :(|) )

I have been the unwilling victim of boar juice, my poor jeans were never the same, lol I really couldn't believe how far it went, and just for future reference it doesn't come off in the wash, it's not called glue for nothing.:{

I lifted him off his cagemates head at the wrong moment, that is all I will say.:)) I do know I won't be doing that again in a hurry.

Lol we have discovered boar glue since getting sam, we're now left with white patches all over the fleeces that just will not come off, no matter how much we wash them!

Thanks

Thanks all for your help...I'm not so worried now. But is it normal for them to do it on each other?!

Cheers, I'll give baby lotion a try. Just combed a fair bit out where it was crumbling away but still a clump left, argh! He he, I guess boys will be boys! :)

That is hysterical. Why do they always go for the head. It must be rather unplesant for the other piggie:(|):(|):(|) Boys will be boys!

crikey

Sooo funny, I knew nothing of this sort of thing but I guess it's inevitable with boys! Luckily my first forage into piggies keeping a few weeks ago gave me three lovely little girls...:))
