Hey everyone, I'm looking for a bit of advice please.
I've got a pair of 4month old boars who are brothers, they get on really well and I love them dearly. My problem is that I have been asked by let's say a local "idiot" if I can offer a 12 week old boar a home as he was a present for a child:hb::hb::hb: And the child no longer wants him.
Do you think I could bond him with my boys? I mean either way I will help this little guy but I don't want to upset my babies,
Thanks in advance :D:D

I agree with Piggyfan. The chances are, as your boys are young and either just about to start their hormonal time or already in it, I wouldn't risk introducing a third boar.

If you think you can help the piggie I'd get a second cage for the new one and get him a new friend. =)

I've got plenty of space for him here, I will get him a friend in the next week or so. I will keep my boys as a pair

If you go to a rescue he will be able to choose his own friend. This saves you getting a boar and finding they are not compatible.

That's a great idea, it have a rescue not far from me, I will find out a bit about them and see how we get on

Agree with all above, would be wonderful to get him his own friend rather than putting him with your existing boars

I agree with what's been said so far & bringing a new boar to join a stable pair could end with 3 that don't get along. A bit of boar dating required at your local rescue. Good luck.

Just hope I can find a rescue that is reputable, some have bad reputations :help: lol

I'm gutted, just called the guy to arrange collecting the piggy and he has sold him to a woman in the pub, poor little mite, I just hope he is with somebody who can care for him properly, thanks for the advice though everyone

Aaargh! Oh my goodness i can only hope this lady looks after him properly, and that you are not too disappointed x

I am worried about him if I'm honest but not much I can do now, I do have space for a few more piggies but I'm not going out looking for them, if I am asked to help I will if I can :D

Maybe you could ask him to give her the website of this site?

I've told him that if she decides she can't look after him then I will buy him off her
