Boars...and the nugget issue.

Ughh who'd have boars?

Artie, very silly little pig, thought it'd be a VERY good idea to pinch nuggets from Harveys food bowl when Harvey was munching away in the filled hay tray (they have three nugget bowls, red- Arties, China bowl- Harveys, the dog bowl- shared) now as I was bending down to put hay in their trays yesterday I noticed Harvey suddenly leap up and conked little Artie with his front two teeth on Arties nose (which was sniffing the tasty nuggets). Next minute there was a big gush of blood and a poor slave running around trying to mop it up. rolleyes

Anywhoos after dabbing his poor nose clean, (he now has a little hole) I popped him back in the shed, to which he ran up in his cosy cup and Harvey joined in to snuggle him and lick his poorly nose. For two boars who are joined to the hip they have a rather love hate relationship!

So lesson to be learnt: Never pinch food from somepig elses plate!

Oh and Arties nose, it was a bit dried bloody today but i've mopped him back up and will be keeping a close eye on it.

Does anyone else have pigs with particular eating habits or spaces?
 
Oh noes, poor Artie.

Misty is making me laugh at the moment - she is being a bit dim working out how to get in her cosie but I can't get her out of her pyramid bed - she ran straight in and conked out looking smug! Will post some pigtures so she can say thankyou :)

She is also funny when it comes to beans - she runs horizontally into a hidie or her beloved bed. However, bean is too long so she bounces off and has to try again! He he!

Awwwwwwwwwww bless, Misty x) Percy prefers his pyramid bed and beach hut to the cosies i think its cause it is sheltered. :)

Will try and film her - but there will be giggling from the camera crew as it makes me crack up every time! :)):))
 
Oh poor baby! Wow each piggy has their own bowl? I cannot believe they understand that. My girls share the bowls. They are always arguing over food. There will be lots of hay but two will decide they want the same piece!
 
Poor Artie, it is sweet though how Harvey licked it maybe to say sorry! :)
My girls have a double dish and they share perfectly well from that, have never had any problems.
 
How's Artie doing with his war wound? Has he learnt his lesson and stuck to his own bowl? :))
