I'm fostering 2 boars from a friend and have put them into the cage with my sows but with a divider between them so no panics please!

After reading the post below, I'm concerned, because the boys are getting really aggressive with each other, teeth chattering, chasing round the cage etc and lots of noise. I've actually had to remove the most aggressive one into the cage he came with in my bedroom (the rest are in the livingroom) but to be honest, there's not the room in the cage for the 2 of them.

What options do I have re the housing situation for them?

Any advice gratefully received as I know these boys shouldn't be alone but being close to the girls is obviously causing tension between them.

I do have more grids so could construct another cage for the pair of them up in my room but what's the smallest size I could get away with?

Cheers

I would keep tham in another room, frankly, especially when they are not used to girls being around. there is always a certain amount of dominance behaviour in a new territory.

2x4 grids is the minimum, 2x5 would be ideal for two boars. Best of luck!

So I should put both boys back in together and hope they don't eat each other?

Lol, I know I was taking on a bit looking after them for a friend but I couldn't see these wee guys being neglected, not to the point of being ill but just she has so much on her plate and no time for the boys.

Thanks

keep the boys together but in a separate room from the girls. I have four boars (two pairs) and know that if I ever brought a sow into the room they are in all hell would break out!
