Dried boar glue will feel rock hard and dry.
If it feels sticky then it may well be quite fresh boar glue so hadn’t yet dried

They call it 'glue' like superglue. It dries rock hard so if it gets on another piggy's fur it can't be wiped away. It has to be either left alone or cut off with scissors!
