Hi so as some of you may have spotted, on Thursday I adopted 2 boars from an unexpected pregnancy in my friend's guinea pigs. They have been very shy and spend most of their time snuggling in their wee house. Since day 1 they have been making a cooing sound a bit like a pigeon. . .

Today is the first day the boys have been out and about in their cage whilst I have been walking around the room as usually when they hear me they run and hide.

Sprinkles is running in wild circuits of the cage and Cookie is just kind of standing in the food bowl watching him. Earlier they were both running in and out of their house bopping the back of it and then running back out.

I don't think it's aggression or dominance but I want to check if they are just playing and whether this is normal during the settling in period?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Meg xx

My four boars are always running about playing. Gets loud sometimes. Just keep an eye on it, I'm sure they are just playing. X

Sounds like your boys have got the zoomies! My lads love to run around, bash into everything, popcorn like mad and then start all over again. It's entirely normal and hilarious to watch!
