I have a 4 and a 1/2 year old boar who recently had a 2-3cm clump of hair/hay/mucus in his anal sack, which I removed.
Today I did another check to make sure there was nothing going on, gently seeing if there was anything in the sack and I went a bit further than I should have, I will admit.
But I noticed he looked a bit messy, perhaps a bit of hay and just some build up of mucus and poop (not a clump or anything, it was just messy in general).
I am wondering if cleaning this would be advisable. Off the top of my head I would think not, as it is quite deep in and to get to such I would need tweezers to gently pull out the hay etc., but I am worried this mess will cause issues for him either now or in the future?
If he is really stinky every now and again I will use a q-tip with warm water to go around the outside and just on the inside, but never further than that.
I would say the issue is a couple cm in.
I don’t/wouldn’t mess with his penis at all, but I am wondering if the anal sack is different.
