Boar cleaning

Hi!
My piggies are 3-4 months old right now.
I'm not sure when to do the boar cleaning. How do I know if they need it cleaned? Even when I picked them up it was hard to see their (you know what) because they kept fidgeting. Can anyone give me advice on boar cleaning? I've had them for almost 2 months now, and I don't know when to do it. Both of them don't seem to be showing any discomfort either, and they're peeing and pooing just fine. I don't know if there's anything in there, and also, how do I clean the area?

I have a 4 year old boar pair and I’ve never had to do anything foe them. Just a check over but they keep themselves clean.

I always gave my 5 year old Finn bum baths as he has long hair that keeps growing. During bum baths, I remove all the hay and tangled hair from his bum but other than that, I have never done anything additional. Finn is 5 years old and I have had him since he was just a tiny baby of 3 months old.

I agree. I’ve had 9 boars in total and have never had to clean their privates. I always check them over weekly. Have a look that there are no lumps or bumps or sore areas. I did have a piggy with impaction but he was about 7 years.

I've only had to occasionally pull bits of hay out. I did a couple of boar cleans when I first got them because I thought it was necessary but since stopping I've not had any trouble and my boys are nearly 5 now.
