WELL! Further to my post the other day about Normans penis (discovered he has frilly willy!), a few on Facebook piggy groups informed me about boar cleaning… suffice to say I was shocked! Almost 20 years and 7 boars later and I’ve only just found out this is a thing! So I just cleaned out the boys… haven’t managed to extract the penis fully on either, it seems there is a knack to it and I’m scared of hurting them! Also finding it hard to get Normans pocket open due to his frills in the way! So I just sort of gently went in and wiped around a bit.. will keep trying. Any tips on that? Yes I’ve watched saskias videos..
However… I DID manage to get in Branstons pocket… removed a massive sperm rod and if you really want to know… pic in the comments! Like squeezing a massive spot! Disgusting, unpleasant but kind of satisfying and worth it if it means my boys are healthy and happy..

Also.. sent the pic to my parents and best friend (good thing they love me).. my dads reply? URGH!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The results!

I’ve never had to clean any of my boars (I’ve had 10). I have had 1 pig with impaction. But that was easy and obvious to find. I hope your boars feel better for it.

Hi, have you got anyone that can help you? I personally use my partner to hold my boys...so then I can kneel infront and be head on and use both hands to move what is necessary about...and make sure you have plenty light to see the area (be careful not to shine it directly in their eyes though) it just takes practice...ive never had male piggies before the ones I have now...so like you I watched video after video but in the end I just had to keep practicing and working out what is best for me to do it...good luck! Your piggies will appreciate it in the end just not the process...

I have never boar cleaned either, only Ted in his last year when he got impaction. I just check by appearance and if it looks normal then leave well alone 😆 If they are old or strugglEd to get down there then I would

Thanks all. I’ve read such conflicting info from every week to every month to never! I think I’m just going to keep doing my usual weekly health checks and clean if necessary. I won’t be extracting and pocket cleaning every month unless I feel it is needed. I don’t want to stress them out or hurt them and like I said, all my other boys lived long happy lives without me ever doing any of that! They just had the usual checks, occasional bum baths and a full bath around twice a year.. one of my old boys got impaction so I was having to clean him out twice a day near the end of his life but I’d never gone near that area other than to check it looked healthy! I’m glad I did it with both of them because of what I removed and I will be keeping an eye particularly on Norman with his frilly willy!

On their weekly health check I just make sure everything is clean and tidy. No swellings or discharge. My older boar had cauliflower willy which I’m assuming is the same as frilly willy. But he was fine. I hope your boars are ok. X
