Hi again- I seem to ask a lot of questions! So I have a boar Mo- my first boar, and he seems fine (though some of you know about the sneezes- thx for your help!). I do wash his grease gland quite regularly as his is very active. His fur is shiny and he tends to clean himself most of the time. However, now I'm worried I haven't been cleaning other parts...for example his anal sack- does this need doing because I have never done this and I'll admit I never knew it had to be done- I never did with my sow. Also his penis- I haven't cleaned that either. I do place his whole rump in when I bath him and clean the exterior etc but as far as the interior goes I'm a novice. I don't want to hurt him or upset him if it isn't a necessity. When checked by the vet they didn't say that it looked dirty or sore...

Thank u that answered a lot of my other questions aswell. I was worried cos I noticed some white stuff around his bum- a bit red in colour but that's from the bright red fleece he is on lol- Christmas spirit- but that is normal so phew! Though it doesn't say if I should clean inside the sack. I already do the outer bit with warm water :)

Normally you don't need to clean inside the sac; only if a boar has got impaction.
