Hi folks, my Albert has had a bit of a high-maintenance behind for quite a long time, since his teenage years really. He is quite a well-equipped gent which doesn't help matters.

He has always produced lots of white boar-scent which builds up in his sac and poos tend to collect in there.

Tonight when i went to clean out his pooball(tm), the poos had a grey fluffy texture on the surface. It looks like mould to my un-glassed eyes.

I'll try and get a picture to share, but if anyone has experience or ideas I'm keen to hear them!

Struggling to get the colour balance right, this was taken on a white background.

I had boar with impaction a few years ago. I can still remember the smell 🤢

How old is Albert?

How often do you clean him out? You probably clean him out daily so I’m not sure it would have time to go mouldy.

Has he been to the vets. Just to make sure it is impaction and nothing else going on.

I’d monitor it for a few days to make sure it’s not mould. Good luck

Albert is about 4-5, he's a rescue boy so can't be more precise than that.

He gets his butt checked daily, i tend to evacuate impaction every other day unless he's built up particularly.

He's not been to the vets for impaction yet, he has previously had a bladder stone operation but has otherwise been pretty healthy.

Will keep an eye on him and the poo for a few days and see what occurs!

Many thanks!

Please do see a vet - Impaction should always be checked out as it can be a symptom of other issues which may need treatment.

Our guide below explains

I hope he is ok
