Boar Bonding Video

I did a bonding session this afternoon / evening so thought I'd video it so people can see what bonding looks like. It went really well. Little man was always going to be the dominant one (my skinny) and I was hoping Freddie would be the submissive pig I thought he was.

to me it was a very tame bonding session as there was no teeth chattering and there was a general understanding who was in charge early on.

A bit of background little man (skinny) is about 7 months old but is a small pig. Freddy is about 2 months and although on video looks the same size he is all fluff and has just had a growth spurt so is fairly slim under all that hair!

Thanks for posting this. I am going to be bonding my 3 year old with a 5month old fairly soon and this is really helpful. Where do you get your hay? As both guinea pigs seemed get a bit excited and then just started to tuck in. Paul's a hero. Apologising to the lads like that.

Its "just grass" Its like readigrass. Strickly for treats only lol! Dont be worried if yours are a bit more feisty I'd say this was more like a boy/girl bonding.

Oh and they are in the bath as with so many pigs its probably the only neutral place in my house left!

That went rather well! I thought it was the bath I was seeing in the video & thought how clever - she is going to give them a bonding bath immediately should the intros take a turn for the worse!

I keep checking on them as am worried about all the girl stink in the room but hopefully as they have been living with the smell since they were both young itll be fine. I got little man at 8 weeks old and Freddie about 2wks (I know not good) thry have grown up around girls so fingers crossed!
