My 3 year old skinny pig Jeremy has a slightly bloody nostril. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain and Isn’t sneezing or coughing, he’s also eating and drinking normally. I’ve had lots of guinea pigs but have never experienced this before. Should I be worried?
He was in his cage when it occurred and he lives alone. There is hay in the cage so I don’t know if hay could have possibly poked in that nostril. Has anyone else ever experienced that with one of there pigs? I’m abit worried to go to bed in case he gets worse during the night. Should I call the vet first thing tomorrow?

Hi!

Please always see a vet promptly for any bleeding. Nose bleeding can be from a hay stalk, but there can also be some more sinister causes.
