Hi everyone I noticed today my 4 year old rabbit has blood in wee pictures showing any advice on this because 20230625_082905.webp

I get them seen at the vets tomorrow. Hopefully it’s a uti and easily treatable with antibiotics. Good luck.

Do see a vet to check, but do be aware that red or orange urine in a rabbit is normal and usually just pigment caused by their fresh foods, not usually blood.
It’s certainly something I have seen many times in my own rabbits over the years when they’ve eaten certain foods. Broccoli and other brassicas are certainly known to to cause red/orange urine.

But I only feed him indoor rabbit nuggets and Hay with a carrot biscuit on top of his food so I don't know why it is I will defo be asking the vet ! ,thanks

If that is all he is eating then I’m sorry to say his diet is not appropriate and needs to be rectified to include plenty of fresh leafy veg (needs to be introduced slowly). It would be a good idea for you to look at the RWAF (Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund) website for guidance on feeding. Inappropriate diet can also be the cause of bladder issues.

Hay and fresh grass needs to be their main food intake. Rabbits also need at least one cup of leafy veg (depending on their size they can need two cups of veg per day), grass and any safe fresh forage each per day.
They should only have one egg cup full of nuggets each per day.

I’ve no idea what a carrot biscuit is but if it is a commercial treat then he should not be eating them. Carrot and carrot flavourings can also cause red urine.

I agree with @Piggies&buns
Based on the picture I would say he certainly needs to see a vet asap.
Is his companion OK?
Has he lost any weight?

I would also say that a cage with a plastic bottom only is not the best set up. Does he have areas with softer flooring, and also large hay piles, as well as 24/7 access to space outside the cage. I don't know of any commercial, plastic cage that offers even close to the amount of space that a rabbit actually needs, so I hope this is just one small section of his overall set up.
The issues may be due to a diet and an environment that don't fully meet his needs, so if we had more information we could offer better advice.

Thanks for letting us know. I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear that Jayne. Sending you a hug.
