Well done. I lost my Mum in 2003 but she'd been having blood and platelets for a while. I remember telling her that some of my friends had given blood that day and she told me to say a big thank you to them.

I can't give it as I don't weigh enough.

7 and a half I think.

I always donate every three months, providing my haemoglobin is OK. Have done for years. Also organ donor and bone marrow donor.

Good on you :-*

I'm going to start giving blood again this year also. I'm also an organ donor i've got a card so if anything happens they'll know my wishes.
I figure if i'm not here someone else may as well have the opportunity at my bits & pieces. My mum & dad are organ donors too and they've asked that what's not suitable when they go that research is to be carried out in the hope of someone benefiting from this.

I used to give blood regularly but I cant any more as I have accupuncture every 2 weeks.

I've done it 10 times now. Started at university just for the free tea and biscuits :)
I have B- blood which not many people have! Plan to go on the bone marrow list next time.

I used to do it years ago, but kept passing out afterwards :o.

I used to go regularly but haven't been for a few years now. Keep saying I must start again! I have common blood - O Positive - but then I guess they need lots of that type as its so common!

In fact I will check out when the next session is and make sure I go!

I'm usually between 7 and 7.25 stone. Think the limit used to be 8 but not sure. Admire everyone who does this. I have to admit even if I could give it, I'd be in a real state. When I had a blood test a while ago I nearly passed out afterwards so the latest time I had to lie down beforehand - and that's just for a test, what an absolute wuss.

Can't remember the last time i weighed 7 stone - must have been when i was about 12 ;D

When my Dad goes to his next session he will have donated 55 pints of blood! He started giving blood nearly 27 years ago as a thank you for my safe delivery.

Everytime he comes back i say i'm going to go next time but i take so many prescription tablets at the moment they won't want me!

I'm also a sod for passing out everytime i go for a blood test. I imagine at the moment i'd be more trouble than i'm worth but maybe in the future.
