Hello, I was just doing an evening clean up and I found what looks like a like clump of blood and stained urine. Can anyone advise please? I have three females, all six months old. I've checked all ears and toes - no injuries. No one appears to be out of form - all running around eating and chatting. Thank you.

Did you see anything on their bottoms? I’d get all three seen by the vet, since you don’t know who bit may have come from.

Hi!

The blood clot has most likely come from either the urinary tract (potential stone?) or the reproductive tract (potential problem with the womb or a cyst), seeing that is has happened in the peeing corner and has been peed on or come out with some already stained pee. If it has happened a little while ago, your piggy has likely cleaned up her genitals in the meantime.

If it is a one-off, it is very going to be very difficult to work out which sow, so the best way would be to have them all vet checked for potnetial issues. Even more so if there are more clots or more bleeding. Any clots and bleeding in guinea pigs should be seen by a vet.
