bloating

would it ever do any harm to give my guinea pig gas relief drops if he doesn’t have bloating?
unfortunately the vets are closed at the moment and my piggy has put on a lot of weight so we suspect he may have bloating,
but in the case that he doesn’t would there be any harm in giving them anyways?

I don’t know if it would do any harm. But I wouldn’t think it’s a good idea to give meds when not needed. How much weight has said piggy put on in the past weeks? And is it a sow or boar?

If you suspect bloating you really need to get him/her seen.

hi, he is a boar,
his gained 50g is 3 day and now weighs 1400g,
he also sometime does small poops,
however he is still eating fine and does not have diarrhoea

I’m assuming you’re not in the UK if your vet is closed? When do they open again? Bloat is an urgent situation so seeking vet advice is important as meds are needed to help with bloat
