Junior Guinea Pig
I think one of my piggies is bloated. How do I find out for certain and how can I help him?
Does his tummy sound hollow when you tap it? is he eating, and pooing?
Only a vet will be able to tell though. Are you able to get to a vet today?

Ok. Will get him to vets asap. I read somewhere about giving them gripewater? Until I can get to vets?If you can get him to the vet they will be able to check for you. It is positive that he is eating and pooing but prompt vet attention is important if you suspect even the early signs of bloat.

He's eating fine, pooping ok, did one whilst massaging belly. His belly looks swollen but doesn't sound hollow. He's not as active as normal. Will add country now.
Vet said he's not. He's been given the ok. He's his happy crazy adorable little piggy again. XxPlease see a vet promptly with bloating; it is one of the emergency issues with guinea pigs. The sooner you can treat, the better his recovery chances. Severe, fully developed bloat can kill.

Think I'm just a worrier but as you said bloat is nasty. I've been reading up on it and can't be risked xxThat is great news! Good that you have had him checked over. Bloat is a nasty thing.
