New Born Pup
Hi there! I’m hoping someone could advise.. my 3 year old boar was a bit lethargic this morning and not overly interested in food which isn’t like him at all! I was a bit concerned but did see him eat some hay so I thought I’d give him some critical care & see how we got on.
He was a little bloated and shuddering but as soon as he smelt the critical care he perked up & started eating the cucumber I put in front of him!
Since then I’ve been checking on him hourly & although he’s not 100% he is eating, is more active & I haven’t seen him shudder again. I’m just wondering if this is something I should be worried about? There’s been no change in his diet.
I have experienced this before with him in March & he did go to the vets (I didn’t take him as I had to isolate & my brother wasn’t confident the guy knew what he was doing) but they did give me some antibiotics & critical care for him. By the time he got home and before he’d had any medication, he farted & was completely fine! I’m just wondering does this sound like mild bloat to you or something else? Should I still take him to the vets just in case? Thanks in advance
